নাইজেরিয়ার একটি মসজিদে হামলা চালিয়ে পাঁচ মুসল্লিকে হত্যা এবং কমপক্ষে ১৮ জনকে অপহরণ করেছে বন্দুকধারীরা।
রোববার এ তথ্য জানিয়েছে দেশটির পুলিশ। দেশের উত্তর-পশ্চিমাঞ্চলের প্রত্যন্ত জামফারা প্রদেশের একটি গ্রামে এ ঘটনা ঘটে।
পুলিশ জানায়, শুক্রবার জুম্মার নামাজরত মুসল্লিদের ওপর হামলা চালায় শতাধিক দুর্বৃত্ত। হামলায় দায়স্বীকার করেনি কোনো গোষ্ঠী। তবে প্রায়ই অঞ্চলটিতে মুক্তিপণের জন্য অপহরণ, খাবার চুরি, গরু চুরি, বাড়িঘর জ্বালিয়ে দেয়ার মতো ঘটনা ঘটায় নাইজার সীমান্তের ঘন বনে ওঁৎ পেতে থাকা ডাকাতদল।
